Daud Mustaf Farms is a start-up Agro processing founded by Mustapha Dauda. This company specializes in cultivating and processing cassava into high quality starch. The company aims to increase the local manufacturing capacity of high quality starch and seeks to achieve this by employing state-of-the-art technology.
Daud Mustaf Farms Limited will primarily cultivate and process cassava into high quality starch for export. The company expects to generate revenue from exporting cassava starch to China.
We have secured an off-take agreement for the high quality starch we produce. Thus, this agreement will guarantee a steady flow of income for the company.
We intend to employ modern technology to augment our production capacity and quality. Daud Mustaf Farms will cultivate 24,000 acres of cassava farm, which is estimated to produce, on average, 800 tons of raw cassava daily. Our processing plant, 60,000TPY food grade cassava starch production line, will be situated close to the farm to facilitate the conveyance of raw materials to the processing site.
The conversion of raw cassava into high quality starch goes through different stages and is handled by the processing plant’s various units. The 60000TPY cassava starch production line is an elaborate system that employs the best techniques, using advanced technology, to produce quality starch on a large scale.
The cassava farm and the processing plant will be situated at Old Longoro in Kintampo North Municipality, in the Bono East Region.
Gross Funding Required: The total funding required for startup operations is $61,038,277, with the net funding required being the same.
Sources Of External Funds: Funding will be sourced through a combination of internal equity investment from shareholders and external debt financing. The breakdown includes $1,153,846 from internal equity investment and $59,884,431 from external debt financing, covering 100% of the startup budget.
Loan Drawdown Plan: The loan drawdown plan outlines the disbursement schedule and terms for the external debt financing, with $49,403,167 allocated for the first tranche and $10,481,264 for financing from Tiast Group.
